Stop 2/4 - Long Live the King Established in 1905, the King Edward Hotel was Calgary’s second oldest hotel and the longest operating bar and hotel when it closed in 2004. Carefully restored, it now functions as a restaurant, concert venue for all genres of music, and headquarters for the National Music Centre offices. CKUA’s Calgary studio is located inside the restored, legendary King Eddy. The studio space is visible to the public at street level and is CKUA’s first publicly accessible radio station in Calgary.
